1971
Back in 1971, Keith Jackson and John Rich joined forces and formed a partnership in Rochdale, Lancashire, which has today resulted in a prominent company in the electrical and mechanical contracting industry, operating as JACKSON RICH Electrical and Mechanical Contractors and Engineers and Switchgear Manufacturers.

1982
Once established, JACKSON RICH became a fully service approved Contractor expanding business possibilities and competing in more sophisticated markets.

1996
Further expansion came in 1996 with the opening of a fully operational Scottish office to serve the whole of Scotland. To further strengthen its client base the range of services provided, another major business development in 1996 saw the establishment of JACKSON RICH Switchgear division manufacturing purpose built main Low Voltage (LV) switchboards, containerised switchrooms and control panels.

1997
With a commitment to quality, Quality Assurance accreditation was achieved to BS 5750 (ISO 9001).

2001
Following continued and committed work with many leading main contractors Jackson Rich embarked upon several partnering schemes which has allowed them to provide the same high quality service to their clients time and time again.

2003
After continued incorporation of Voice and Data systems into existing contracts Jackson Rich introduced a new department to address the increase in IT projects. Utilising its experience for both large contacts and individual installations JACKSON RICH completed its full service provision for M&E turnkey projects.

2005
Saw Relocation to larger premises for both Scottish and English divisions of JACKSON RICH. The Scottish office doubled in size to allow for further expansion, while in England the two sites in Rochdale were merged together under one roof increasing the overall building space and office facilities.

2006
JACKSON RICH today has a current annual turnover in excess of £16 million and has approximately 200 employees all dedicated to the further success of the company. Keith, Mark & Gary acknowledge the valued part played by a very loyal staff, some of whom have been with the company since its conception.

The enthusiasm and commitment of directors and all the staff at JACKSON RICH remains the same today, as it was back in 1971, and the company looks forward to new and exciting challenges and growing from strength to strength for many decades to come.
